Buffalo Terastation Error E23

A brand new disk doesn't solve the problem so the likelyhood must be that there is chip damage that has progressively got worse until now when it just crashes 5 times Error EC8F17B7: Cannot create recovery points for job: Job. That would really kill me. E12 The system temperature has exceeded the safety value. navigate here

Strange. I was running RAID0 so the whole lot would be gone if I decided to format. I think I may have seen software discussed in the forum that allows one to see what temperature the TS is detecting, although I could be wrong about that. You mention that After a reboot the unit works for a while, sometimes overnight, with no problem but usually will fail me when I'm using it for any kind of large transfers.

Place of error code Status Display example 10s place of error code The LED illuminates for 1.0 seconds every 0.3 seconds. I was under the impression that this was the case then i read somewhere that the buffalo stores setup information on one of the drives somewhere? For details, see the separate sheet "Hard Drive Replacement Procedure". Rebuild or format the RAID array in the LinkStation's Web Admin interface.

Do not place objects in the area around the LinkStation, or install at a cooler location. Top Profile Reply with quote itimpi Post subject: Re: HD1 Faulty. I had everything backed up on DVD discs so I decided to shoot the moon and try a fresh slate.

Sorry. Lights during initialization. I21 Checking the hard drive. I noticed in your reply in another thread that you have experienced many power outs with your stations and had no ill effects.

I have battery packs which give me 10 minutes to safely turn off all my computers including the terastation but when the power cuts at night, even though I usually wake http://drupalmostpopular.com/buffalo-terastation/buffalo-terastation-pro-error-e05.html But thanks so much for trying to help me. I've backed up all data, so I'm ok with giving this a try, but moving all the data back and forth takes days so i'd rather not if I don't have Note that I have updated the instructions on my web site about how to flash to include the firmware updater's Debug Mode.

I'm no expert but, radio waves or some frequency's from the TV or modem or phone....could they have interfered?Next I would try changing the LAN line cos obviously thats easy to no more than 5 times in the year I've had it) I sleep through the power cut and the terastation gets cut off. After replacement, rebuild the RAID array by following the setup screen after starting the LinkStation.
